Re: Anyone miss your robot?
By the way, build season was almost seven weeks long.
Lets look at it from another perspective. How do you think your robot feels. Robots have feelings you know, at least ours did last year. Our robot last year, Twitch, gained 5 pounds in transit from not getting enough exercise. It is living. If you don't believe me, ask someone else on my team. They can confirm that Twitch weighed 129.9 lbs. before we put it in the crate and it weighed 136.4 lbs. after we took it out. It weighed in at 129.7 lbs. after we let it stretch after taking it out of the crate for a while. If our robot is living, it must have feelings and it must have been depressed everytime it was in the crate. Maybe our team is a bit crazy, but we did see the thing twitching! |

Re: Anyone miss your robot?
Miss Daisy and I, after about six weeks of tough times, have decided that we'd take about 2 weeks off... I think it's going okay, but truthfully I just can't stop thinking about her. I keep wondering, does she feel the same way about me? Hopefully when we see eachother again at the Chesapeake regional, she'll take me to far better places than I've EVER dreamed!

Re: Anyone miss your robot?
dont be too surprized if your bot is angry with you when you open the crate
stuffing it in a box like that? sending it off in a cold dark truck, with little or no padding, and not so much as a BLANKET or a PILLOW! sitting in that warehouse for days and days, wonding what it did to deserve THIS? I hope you at least sat down and had a nice long talk with it before you bolted the crate shut poor thing probabally thinks its in its coffin, at the bottom of a landfill! ![]() and I hope to God you unplugged the backup battery before you shipped it - if you left the processor running its 16MHz clock, compaired to a human heartbeat (scaled up) - sitting in a box over night with nothing to run but no-ops is like you sitting in the corner for 30,000 years Last edited by KenWittlief : 01-03-2004 at 21:32. |

Re: Anyone miss your robot?
I didn't really get to know ED 5.0, but I loved him from afar... You see, ED was popular, everyone wanted to be his friend, so he was always surrounded by a crowd... and me, being the shy thing that I am, just lurked on the fringes... Sigh... I miss the funny way he moves...

I miss the bot yes ofcourse--- I love our bot-- it's such a great bot-- even thought the wheels take a while to but together they are beautiful thanks to our engineer James Jones, he designed them---
but yeah with the bot gone it is sad but hey tomorrow i get to talk in spanish about it and see the bot next week so it's all good |
