Yes! We selected the Ticks to be our first partner at Nationals in Houston.

Was it because they have an awesome team?

Or was it because our drive team wanted to do the Tick Dance?

I'll let you decide!

I would have to say both since they did have an awesome bot last year.

Re: Coolest Driver Dance

Myself, Sarah, and whoever the human player for the match at the time happened to be had a pre-match dance back in 2001 and 2002 on Team 71...it consisted of us standing in a circle, jumping up and down with our hands in the middle, and someone giving a pep-talk. Then we'd break and go on our way...it seemed to be fairly successful and many people thought we were wierd

Good times...:tear:

Re: Coolest Driver Dance

I used to harlem shake before my matches. But it always looked kinda odd and well, white. :-) ( Sometimes I'd throw in a little crypt walk ) We also had a coordinated dance with our robot during the middle of the matches and the robot would clap a beat. ( that is to say if we'd done all we could and we were up against like no one else.. and mainly practice matches ) ... We always tried to get the crowd going with it.. but it never seemed to work.. boo hoo

It was more to get my nervousness out. I know this is kinda off topic does anyone else get really nervous when they are about to drive?

This is quite true. I *tried* to do it in front of a group of friends and well let's say, they just stared at me and all just kinda took a big step back. Tick dance all the way!

Team 677 does the "look at the camera awkwardly and shift uncomfortably with a cheesy forced smile on our faces" dance...

Re: Coolest Driver Dance

I love the tick dance, but sadly I didn't get to see it at UTC Hopefully 121 will have a great driver dance in Atlanta. We already have the "2" thing, and we "bump it" when we win a match, but I think we're gonna come up with something even better.

Re: Coolest Driver Dance

Our team started something new this year and it went off great, the 4 in the player station got into a circle and swayed yelling and jumped around, while our team did the same in the stands on the floor. By our last match in the finals we had a 125 person circle all swaying and yelling, it was awesome!

That really saddens me. Hopefully we'll be able to track you down in Atlanta and teach you how to do it and give you some stuff for being a sport. So look for the Tick Chicks in Atlanta guys, we'll be the ones being surrounded by crazy sexy dancers

I know the tick dance. I made my brother [ricksta121] show it to me and I realized that it's the dorky white person dance that I love to do at school dances. I'm not sure why I didn't see it at UTC (maybe because I'm on the 121 drive team and I was paying more attention to operating the robot than anything else.) But I'll definitely try to meet up with you guys if I have the time. I don't mind making a fool out of myself for free stuff. See you there!

We had a few guys from 121 do the dance, Seth being one of them. He was so into it he participated in a dance off. But yeah, we'll see you in Atlanta
