Re: I was turned down by Segway!

That's a shame. Maybe if sales of Segways really start taking off they would reconsider. That would really have been neat though, someone I know working for Segway.

Oh, and Jess, if you do get a job there in the future maybe you could get me a good deal on one.

Re: I was turned down by Segway!

Applying to Segway is a cool idea!

One of the more fun and interesting hobbies is compiling a collection of rejection letters for all sorts of interesting jobs. One of my favorite letters (I have it framed, hanging on my wall) is my rejection letter from the NASA astronaut corps, declining my application to be an astronaut. I knew that I would never be accepted (really crappy vision), but I just wanted to go through the process to see what it was like, and to at least say that I tried.

But that got me thinking, what would it be like to apply for a job as the head of a movie studio, or race car driver, or Golden Gate Bridge painter, or philanthropist, or lion tamer, or Krispy Kreme donut taste tester, or king of a small country? Well, lets just say that some of the rejection letters for such applications would be priceless!

Dude, that is brilliant. I have to try that. Actually, all the things you said you applied for were all the things I would want to do. lol
