Yeh, it was cool. Going to quarter finals. If only a key part of our robot's drive train had not have sheared.

Anyways, who was giving out the pimp Dave buttons? I caught a glimpse of one, but since I was incharge of our Scouting DB and CyberCenter / Cafe I spent the whole time manning it (except during our matches). Those of you guys going to the Peachtree Regional look for it there (in more revised and DHCP friendly state).

Thanks to the dude with the D-Link Wireless AP random, but at the same time cool since we forgot ours.

Also, thanks to the teams who used our trading card design. If anyone is intrested in produceing cards for your team you can download all the files at circuitrunners.com.

PS - Also if anyone has the pimp dave image used for the button maybe you could send it to me or post it. I'd like to replace my ATi BG on my desktop with something pimper unless it will look really bad in 1024. Or if some one can scann it in 1200dpi that would work too.

MissInformation of team 116 was the pin creator. That is only one of countless photo-shopped Dave pics she has done.

Wetzel was the hander-out of the buttons. I got one, if you saw one on a Sparky member, it was probably me. I heard only about 50 were made.

There were 214 buttons made (would have been 250, but the button machine was a bit temperamental), so they weren't super rare, but still, rare enough for us to hoard them a bit... Besides, 50 would have not been enough to torture Dave with, but I didn't just say that. The three main people handing out buttons were me, Lil' Richie, and Lil' Lavery (yes, Dave's own offspring was highly involved in this) because we did all of the work on them. I believe Wetzel was given about 6 to pass out (I told you they were hoarding them...)

There will be another 200 or so made for the Chesapeake Regional.

Re: VCU Thanks, Congrats, and Hello's!

In our current feavorish state, we forgot to recognize one important team, team 405. They were our alliance partners along with 1002. We thank them for their hard work, and we hope to see them in Atlanta.

I would also like to thank a few teams and people and places. Nice work Team 388 for another robot regional win. And KrispyKream was awesome as always. And to all others for awards won. And if anyone is going down to SC see you there.

Re: VCU Thanks, Congrats, and Hello's!

Everyone that went to VCU is deserving of congratulations and thanks. It was one of the most exciting weekends I've ever had.

Congrats to teams 33, 388, and 977 on your awesome win. I'm still in disbelief at how close the finals were.

Thanks to 422, and 975 for a great alliance.

Also congrats to teams 926 and 1469 for great showings.

We hope to see all of you guys again soon.
