Great GLR Announcers

Not that they need any more work, but F.I.R.S.T. should set up Dave and Paul, the GLR announcers as trainers for new announcers. They sure know how to do it. Thanks for keeping it exciting, you guys were great. Announcers sure can add a lot to an event and you guys did.

Re: Great GLR Announcers

I agree... both the announcers were GREAT! I actually paid more attention to what they were saying rather than watching the game itself ... so informative and so entertaining... I love it!
Thumbs up Dave and Paul!

I agree...definately the Avs jersey was classic. I don't remember hearing this, but I was told when Paul put the Wings jersey on after lunch Dave said something to the effect of "Ahh Paul is now finally thinking straight." well he was up until lunch time

Complements of my camcorder

Paul and Dave did rule at this event. Oh and don't forget the fill in for Paul, Dan Green of Wildstang. He started his announcing career off at IRI in 2002 and he has really improved and become very very good too.

Actually, Dan did some announcing during the regular season at Midwest last year and I want to say he was in for a little while at GLR, but I could be wrong on that.

Dan was the announcer at the St Louis Regional last year, if I'm not mistaken that was his first official FIRST announcing job...

Paul and Dave are awesome.
Dan was the main announcer at VCU, and he will announce at Annapolis.

Great job to Paul and Dave! You guys are the best. And to Paul: hopefully the other referees and I can oblige and give you a "belly check" or two to comment on at Wayne State

Re: Great GLR Announcers

If you just can't get enough of Dave and Paul....

Paul will be the MC at the Detroit Regional this week @ Wayne State University. It should be a regional to remember, so be there if you can!

Rumour has it that Dave will play a very important part this spring at the Nationals in Atlanta. Nothing confirmed yet by FIRST officials

My favorite part about the GLR was when Dave and Paul did the play-by-play in tandem during the Eliminations. Second fav was when a runaway robot (1241?) had Paul and me diving for cover!

Re: Great GLR Announcers

The elimination matches with both announcers doing the play by play, made it even more exciting to watch, especially with the amazing feats that the robots were doing out there
