Rookies Need Help at Denver Regional

Saturday night after the Arizona Regional, my wife, son and I went to Castles and Coasters to burn a few credits left over from Thursday. While we were there a bunch of nice young people came up and said "Hey weren't you on the winning team?" (we were wearing our BeachBot shirts).

It turned out that they were with 1393, a rookie team. In talking with them, we found out that they had been having trouble with their pnuematic system among other things. If we had known during the regional, we could have sent our pnuematics team over to help. But since it was after the competition and the robots had already been crated up, there wasn't much we could do at that point.

So if any of you experienced teams could send somebody over to help them out in Denver, I'd appreciate it. They were very nice and greatly impressed by the helpful spirit in AZ. It is time to see it well established in Colorado as well!

And yes, I did tell them about ChiefDelphi and encourage them to get active here, but they haven't taken my advice yet.

Re: Rookies Need Help at Denver Regional

I don't think I'll make it out to the Denver Regional but if I do I would be glad to help. If they make it to CD I'll give them all the knowledge I have or can google up. It is spring break and a road trip to Denver would be fun, but they always put really hard test the week after spring break ie Chem 2 Lab Exam Monday and Calc 2 Exam Tuesday..ugh.

If anyone from 1393 get on here just name your problem and we'll all be glad to help.

BTW, nice website 1393. It's very good for a rookie team.

Team 1393:

Team 64 will be in Denver. Stop by our pits. If we can't help you, Team 60 will be near by. Between the two of us, we should be able to help you.

But I won't be there, I'll be at the LA regional. If you could send one of your experts over to 1393's pit they would appreciate it. I got the impression they might be too shy or whatever to ask the "big names" for help. Though I know better.

I'm just trying to set up help for them in advance, using my "connections".

Re: Rookies Need Help at Denver Regional

I went to 1393's web site and posted our contact info and the address to CD forums. I hope to hear from them soon. Help is everywhere, all they need to do is ask. Thanks for the post Chris.
