Who wants a free FIRST Playing field carpet?

Ok, I've resulted to drastic measures

The carpet used at the BAE Regional is unwanted. It's sitting in the loading dock of the Verizon Center in Manchester... and if it isn't removed by the end of Wednesday (tomorrow), it's going to be thrown out.

If anybody wants it and/or can get a truck up here to move it, let me know. Even if a local New Hampshire team could do me the favor of picking it up and storing it for a few weeks while I arrange for a truck to bring it back to Boston, that would be fantastic. Essentially, I want to use this carpet for the Blitz... it's in great shape. I'm also a packrat and can't stand when good things are thrown out.

Please let me know soon!!!! If your team wants the carpet for yourselves, thats great. Just let me borrow it in May

384 dosn't need it, but 422, MechTechs, could use it. They wanted our carpet before since they don't have one. I'd contact Gui C. from these forums since he is the head. Or e-mail me at josephm1314@yahoo.com and I'll get you his e-mail address.

Re: Who wants a free FIRST Playing field carpet?

How about donating it (whole or parts) to a Habitat for Humanity house or some such local organization that could use it for a needy family?

Re: Who wants a free FIRST Playing field carpet?

Ok, the issue has been resolved. WPI is picking it up, we are storing it with Team 140 (Tynsboro), and the three of us will share the carpet for our events (Battlecry, Mayhem, and Blitz).

Good example of team's helping eachother out...
