Re: 67 Capping 1241 Video

IT WAS GREAT! 1241 was demolishing people all day with thier bot and human player. I give it about a week before 1241 comes up with something to counter that awesome move and tactic!

I am at school so i cannot view the video. This sounds like an interesting strategy. What exactly happened... How did it work...

Re: 67 Capping 1241 Video

Great video. Where did you pull it from. It was obviously the FIRST feed which was projected on the big screen.

Are other GLR matches available for viewing somewhere?

Thanks!

At this moment, I am at school as well. What one team did was clog up the funnel bot mechanism with a 2X multiplier ball to prevent the five point balls from falling in. The only way the funnel bot would be able to avoid this from happening is to close the device, and only open it up when gathering balls.

Re: 67 Capping 1241 Video

The source of the video was a tape that I borrowed from one of the mentors on my team. I believe that they brought a VCR and hooked it in somewhere at the regoinal to record the feed. I just digitized it and put it on the web site.

GRRRRR........ I knew this would get out on CD sooner or later. Oh well our bot just can't be lazy from now on. Great counter-strategy though.

I'm guessing this was before the match... it was the first match of the day and both alliances had plenty of time to think about what they would do the night before...unforunately for the red alliance (1241,1158) the blue alliance's thinking was waaay more insightful and strategic so...good job 67 and 280 that was a move to go into the rule books

It was planned before the match. Trust me, there was a great deal of judge-asking to make sure it was legal. It was a genius creation of the mind of Tex...

Re: 67 Capping 1241 Video

Well as my teammate Andy Grady says "for every strategy there is a counter strategy" and i think that we see a perfect example of this here.

kudos to the person or persons who came up with this strategy.
