Talking thanks to all teams at UTC....

I believe this regional went well every one played hard and smart every round. A big thanx to teams 716 230 for helping us win (both teams hung every match they were in all elimination rounds) and teams 126 173 1100 for playing the 2 hardest fought rounds at the regional great play and good luck to all the teams who have other competitions.....

I also want to thank anyone at the UTC regionbals as it was one of our best showings. I would also like to specifically congratulate 571, 716, and 230 for their victories and thank you for giving us one heck of a game in the first match of playoffs. It was the first time I was able to be in a playofff match and it was absolutly amazing (165-150) It is just too bad the way that pnealty went or else that could have been us as champs Oh well the refs just callled it as they saw ait and also for that I would like to thank them for doing there absolute best and sticking by some of their tougher decision kudos to you, Aidan you should be proud you led one fine group of refs!!!!

I'll also like to say thanks to all the teams at UTC and also all the volunteers for FIRST, they did a remarkable job keeping things orderly and resetting the field. Without them this competition wouldn't have been possible.

Yeah but I cant exactly testify to this as I was to busy draining them baskets for the EASY 110 from balls, but as explained to me by others the reason we got the 10 (according to the ref) was for breaking the plane on the corral, which others vouched for but apparently we were "nudged" in (according to other from our team and alliance) which would have given you then 10 pt penalty making us the victors 160-155. Sorry I can't testfiy to this as I did not see this actually happen I am just relaying this. But congratulations never the less you guys made two intense matches with your last second drives at our multiplyer.

P.S. By no means am I upset at the calling of the refs for I can not testify as to what actually happened and I am sure they called it how they saw it and we can not ask for any better. I am just happy we got sellected! Thanks to 546 and 1027 for a great time had by all

I agree with you there. Thanks to all the volunteers, FIRST staff, and staff from Innovation FIRST. These are the people who work behind the scenes to make the regional happen and let us have a goot time playing in the competition.

Also great job to our alliance partners 181 and 157, Birds of Prey and Aztechs. Too bad we got eliminated in the semifinals, we were a great alliance together.

Congrats to 571, 230, and 716 on winning the regional, thats great. Also congrats to team 236 for winning the regional chairmans award.

Re: thanks to all teams at UTC....

those last few matches were definitely nailbiters. I wouldn't let myself celebrate until the whole thing was over, i was kinda freaking out.

our first round against 521 was actually the closest. and you are correct, there is a definite possibility that we pushed you into the ball corral - it was kinda far away, couldn't really tell, but it was close. sorry about that if we did. great job everyone, it was a great regional.

Hey, thanks for the complement on the match it truly was amazing!!!!! I guess we will have to wait until Nats to proove just how good we can be with our ball score skills, I juts hope (and am sure they will be) volunteers, and judges as good as the ones we had at UTC. Everyone of which had a smile on their face and was willing to help for the volunteeers and eveyr judge was more then willing to talk with you about the game rules, a call, or even moving your lab coat LOL!

I would like to thank teams 571 and 716 for picking us and making an awesome alliance. 126, 173, and 1100 you guys put up a good fight and you did an awesome job. To the other teams at the regional it was a pleasure competing with you and if you are going to Atlanta we look forward to seeing you there. For the volunteers and all the FIRST staff thank you for making the regional run smoothly, without you we couldn't go on.

Re: thanks to all teams at UTC....

Thank you 571 for picking us and thanks for picking 230! We made an awesome alliance, very well balanced strategies!

This Regional was great. The volunteers, the field crew , the Refs, all did a fantastic job! The competition was tough, we were as high as 3rd and as low as 20th in the standings. When we were loading up, we noticed that a lot of crates were heading to Atlanta, can't wait to see you all there!

Re: thanks to all teams at UTC....

I just wanted to drop a thank you to teams 173 and 1100. You guys were top notch alliance partners who gave everything you had to get us where we were. Also I want to extend my congrats to teams 571, 716, and 230 on the championship. Big big big compliments to the defensive strategy you used to stop us in the finals, you deserve every bit of that trophy in your hands. Finally one last thank you to all the teams who attended UTC to make it an excelent event. It was certainly a crazy (and downright chaotic at times) event.

Good Luck,
Andy Grady

p.s. I am looking for a contact from team 236, if someone knows one, could you please let me know. Thank you

Congrats to all Teams! It amazes me every year to see all of the teams that continue to Raise the bar.

Andy, send me a PM and I can get you in touch with whoever you need on the Ticks...But, this information does not come free. You are going to have to either come by and show us your TICK DANCE in the pits down in Atlanta, or post a picture of your TICK DANCE. HA HA HA.
