The patterns to solve all the rubik's cubes become much much longer as they become bigger...you have to make more moves to switch two squares and whatnot making the patterns much harder to remember. There are also more patterns to remember. I used to know how to solve the 3x3 cube. And the patterns were to switch certain squares on one side with another square on another side while leaving the rest of the cube in the same pattern. There are exponentially more patterns like this as the cube gets bigger. It is also just plain harder to keep track of all the squares and colors due to having 216 individual squares on the 6x6 cube compared to 81 on the 3x3 cube. It is just overall much harder to solve a 6x6 rubik's cube.

PS - If Julie wanted to do it, she could find the patterns online before Nats and bring them with her !
