Re: High Scores

In Detroit this weekend the high points was 135 and the highest QP was 85. They were not in the same match.

How to beat 210

You need two ball handlers that can hang, plus maybe a specialty robot that can get one or two of the 10 point bonus balls, or steal 5 pt balls from the opponents.

Step one
Both robots go fo mobile goals, bring them over and uncap - hopefully not triggering opponent bonus -1 robot positions mobile goal under oponent ball drop and defends. (A good programable autonomous mode to block out opponents)

Step two
Gather balls ( maybe bonus balls get to human player. Get ten balls into stationary goal, 4 or more into mobile goal (perhaps a yellow or two, cap
both goals at the 30 second left mark.(140) Good herding ability, shooters.

Step three: get two robots hanging.(100) Hard to hang if being pushed.

Total score 240+.

Will we see a 240 at the Nationals - I think so. Will there be a 300 - probably not. There are not enough big ball handlers that can hang. I've only seen 1 10pt ball scored.

130 was our high qualifying score, WITH NO HANGERS. We scored small balls and doubled. I wanted to know if anyone beat that with out a hanger yet.

Re: High Scores

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the highest possible score for any one team is 660 - 0.

(This is assuming you pop all the balls and then figure out a way to stuff 52 balls into two goals. This is also assuming you get every single ball)

48 5 point balls = 240 points (36 dumped, 12 to start with)
4 10 point balls = 40 points
TOTAL for balls = 280 points

double the points via a doubler = 560 points

both 'bots hanging = 100

TOTAL = 660 points

I'll buy every person on both teams a car of their choice if they can do this....

I like how you added the pop every ball stipulation. I haven't seen many 5pt balls poped in competion but I've seen about 10 doubler balls pop.

At BAE we (562, along with 126) scored 140 without hanging in a qualifying round. Sorry!

Re: High Scores

Highest score at Annapolis this past weekend was over 200. They made an announcement about how this was the highest scoring one in the nation so far. I don't remember exactly what the score was, but both the stationary and mobile goals were capped and both bots were hanging.

Re: High Scores

Hey all,

Our team had the honor of being part of the round to currently hold the high score for the nation (210 at Annapolis). It was an amazing round for both sides. Goals were capped, our alliance had both bots on the bar... It was quite the match. We didnt see anything near that in St. Louis, so I'm really looking forward to nationals to see what kind of scores come out of the rounds there.

The other team to get the 200 with 126, was RAGE(173). We and Buzz(175)held the high score for UTC New England until that match with a score of 190.
190 was the highest Qualifying match at UTC and then the 200 was the all time high at UTC.

There was a 170 point match at Portland with no hangers (earlier in the thread).

Just finished the Buckeye Regional today, it was great... awesome robots. Yan you're right about the Hot Team #67 with the 220, I saw the match it was crazy, lots of 5 point balls in, both goals capped by Team 67 and they both hung, it was mind blowing!
