**FIRST EMAIL**/Call for Volunteers at the Championship!!

Greetings Team Leaders:

FIRST is looking for volunteers to help staff the Championship. Please send this email to the parents of your students, other mentors working with your team, and anyone else who might be interested in volunteer opportunities. Parents of students often volunteer at their regional event so we hope they will help at the Championship, too.

Thank you so much for your assistance!

**CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP**

As you know, the Championship is being held April 15-17 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Dome and the adjacent Georgia World Congress Center. With 288 teams expected to compete and four fields in operation, we are assured an exciting, high energy and fun-filled event.

Volunteers are the key players in making sure the event runs smoothly. FIRST is looking for people who will volunteer in such roles as field re-set, crowd control for each field and other locations, team queuing, awards distribution, field set-up and breakdown. Individuals can volunteer for just one day or more.

Volunteers will be given a Championship t-shirt and badge, and are invited to attend a Volunteer Dinner and Training on April 14. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day. Volunteers will receive training.

If you would like to volunteer, or want more information, contact Charles Peterson, Championship Volunteer Coordinator at 678-924-7634 or peterson.c@att.net. The Championship is only two weeks away so please contact Charles promptly. Recruit a friend to volunteer, too!

Thank you.
