Challenge to West Coast Teams for 05 Regionals

I know this challenge is coming really late/early depending on your perspective, but its never too early to plan to the future....but I've noticed how the west coast teams always challenge the east teams to come west and many of these teams that are financially able/permitted by schools/sponsors have met your challenege, so its time to put the ball in our court. I officially issue a challenge to west coast teams to bear the cold and come east to our regionals. You have a pretty nice selection of regionals from Midwest, Great Lakes, UTC, BAE, New Jersey, and even a few in Pennsylvania and Virginia/Maryland. So if you aren't scared come and play with us.

Re: Challenge to West Coast Teams for 05 Regionals

Yeah, I was just thinking that it would be great if we could make it to one of y'all's regionals. We are NOT one of those well funded teams, though. I don't know how we could swing an east coast regional and championship in the same year. (Don't you just love my optimism in assuming that we will qualify for the championships again next year?)

Re: Challenge to West Coast Teams for 05 Regionals

I'd love to see a southern california or florida team come to BAE regionals and see how they handle the near artic temperatures (no offense)

I'm sure that my team would take up the offer of going to the west, well, if a west coast team would kindly lend us $7000

I would hardly consider New Hampshire Arctic in March... I gotta give my props to my cous out Wolverine Idaho where any exposed skins turns frostbite after 3 minutes. Now that is Arctic. Why I think I was wearing a long sleeve T-SHIRT!!!! when I was at BAE Id like to see you do that out in the Rockies that time of the year

We already accepted the challenge and are going to the Canadian Regional this week. We hope to go to GR or somewhere and play with some of the big dogs.

Just like we would love to travel back east if an eastern team would kindly lend us $5,000.

Re: Challenge to West Coast Teams for 05 Regionals

there are a couple of big guns here already at CR =D.
cant wait! 22 comes tomorrow!

what i would like to see is some other teams make trips up to CR besides 48 and 639 and a couple of others. We can offer a great atmosphere, friendly people and lots to do to teams that are only within an 8 hour drive usually! of course this is much easier for teams in the NE, like 47, 71, 45 etc. but seriously, CR is the biggest regional this year and its sure to be one of the best

DJ i still remember a few years back when if the west/midwest coasted wanted to come to any regional they came east, I remember with detail, the little old rookie bot bullying the (quote from the teams advisor) "big scary chief delphi bot" in NJ that was the last year chief came to jersey, so let me make my challenge, i wanna see the self proclaimed big dogs head back east and show us "arogant east coasters" how to build bots
