Re: pic: Truck Town OU Unveiled (Team 68)
awesome job guys! at first when i saw the teaser i was like wow too, but after having gone to pittsburgh and actually realising the size limitations on a control board, i.e. they cant be too long and hit the huge E-Stop assembly -__-", i was thinking that they might be too long, but this shows off the scale and its sooo great.. makes it even better with the minature arm =D

Re: pic: Truck Town OU Unveiled (Team 68)
Well thank you for all your kind words!
As a matter of fact, we won the innovation in controll design award at Colorado last weekend. YEAH! LOL Anyways, we put a lot into the arm control, so let me explain: The arm is a mini-arm version of our Robot's arm. It can accuratelly position the arm using Pots, and some hefty programming. You also might notice the little red buttons below the arm. These coorespond to a binary system used to (when accuratelly pressed) give extensive feedback information about the condition of the arms. This includes:
The arm is programmed to stop it's self after a certain level of damage to the shafts, motors, or pots; if there is any. It also has pre-determined arm positions which can be moved to semelesslely with the push of a button. This all leads up to this: Clever, dont you think? Im just messing. Im no artist. But, once again, I thank everyone for the kind words. PEACE AND LOVE good luck. |

one word: $@#$@#$@#$@#.
..sigh autofilter dayam! having a scale model is one thing diagnostics set you above the bar this year =D. (though i dont know too much about first history, so i dont know if its been done before) is the operator able to override it at any time though? say you have a high damage factor, but really really really need to cap in final 2.1? hehe |

Re: pic: Truck Town OU Unveiled (Team 68)
I'm guessing the 2 seat belt sockets are for some sort of strap so you can wear the board. I'm also guessing that the drill battery allows you to power the OI without the AC jack, so that you can walk around with the controls and control your robot?
Unbelievable control panel. |

Re: pic: Truck Town OU Unveiled (Team 68)
That is amazing...looks great...uber-features with those diagnostics...and is still very simplistic. AMAZING job team 68.
