Hello All! I am a bit of a newbie to this posting business so please bear with me if my font is all messed up. My team (#1086-PIRATES!!!)is staying at the Marriot Marquis (though only 18 of our team are going to nationals) I heard something about a halo/xbox competition...and I just wanted to let you all know that this girl is going to beat you all! If you let me cheat that is. haha. Has someone made up a list for the Marquis?? If you have, would you post it? I would love to know who else is staying with us! Also, are there any official parties other than the wrap party on friday?

Halo Tourney at the Westin PeachTree, bring your controllors, and your Preperation H to sooth the pain after we kick you butt's. I know we will have at least 2 x-boxes, and probably at the very least 4-6 maybe even 8 controllors, depends on how much space I have left to pack it all. I will also be bringing networking supplies, with enough cat5 to hard wire the rooms, as long as your not too far..If anyone has a wirless adapter they could use with the x-box, perhaps I will bring a WAP. (802.11b) if any one's curious, so no g, sorry. See you guys down in Atlanta. Bring on the competition.

Gee, it'd be nice if this thread was made into a poll. That way you could at least know how many teams are staying @ each hotel w/o having to read through all these posts and try to make sense out of everything. Only problem would be keeping the poll limited to one vote per team...

I'm compiling a thorough list of all of the teams going to Atlanta by contacting CD members, this thread, and other means. I have about 100 of 281 right now, so if you want to see what I have now, let me now. Otherwise I will post it when i have gotten more teams.

Details from the wonderful folks at the Embassy Suites Hotel - Centennial Park:

They are looking to put additional restaurant staff on early in the morning to accomodate all us FIRSTers so we can over to the Dome bright and early.

Breakfast will be served buffet-style with a variety of foods offered - cereal, pancakes, yogurt, grits and sausage were among the foods mentioned.

Internet access is available in each room but there is a charge - $9.95/day.

They welcome us to use their tables, chairs and sofas in the Atrium/lobby area, but since all rooms open onto it we have been asked to be courteous about keeping noise levels down.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
