Re: Apr 1-3 Webcast Info (3 Webcasts)

Now I guess the big question I have is, how do I play all 3 of them simutaneously (Without 3 computers)? I can only open one at a time cause Real PLayer is like that... Ughh...

Re: Apr 1-3 Webcast Info (3 Webcasts)

Technically you can watch almost all of them, one at a time. Remember Palmetto starts early, then an hour later, the Lone Star Regional starts, and I believe two more hours after that, Silicon Valley starts. So time them carefully between lunch breaks.

Re: Apr 1-3 Webcast Info (3 Webcasts)

Is anybody else having trouble with the contrast with the video for the LoneStar Regional? The video is really dark. I am thinking about trying out the free 14 day upgrade Real Player offers, in order to adjust the video to my liking. Any other suggestions?

I just wish I could get streaming video at all here at work ... they have our network pretty well locked down. DARN ... I knew I should have taken some time off today ...

Re: Apr 1-3 Webcast Info (3 Webcasts)

Contrast complaint duly noted. I'll see if that's actually a problem we can do anything about. We almost didn't have a webcast at all. We had issues getting the Polycom box to talk with the ISDN lines. Luckily, my old place of work had an adapter box they let us borrow. So yay! that there's a webcast at all, really.

Yeah. Yay! Kevin. Thank again. It is really awesome for me. I miss it so much. But two weeks and I'll be in atlanta so I'll be generally alright.

Re: Apr 1-3 Webcast Info (3 Webcasts)

Yes, Texas was on a 128k ISDN dialup. That's the best we could do for connectivity. Much better than nothin' and all that. If anyone is interested in the technical details, it done using a Polycom Viewstation that was hooked into the video and audio and the ISDN line. NASA then dialed into the Viewstation to pickup the feed, and presumably took care of the Real encoding after that.

PS. Any and all scoring gaffes, glitches, etc. were the sole responsibility of my evil twin. Honest.
