As we come down to the wire, volunteer help is still needed at the Championship.

Many teams bring a contingent of support with them - such as parents and other chaperones. It would be awesome if some of those folks were willing to work as crowd control on Thursday (short ~20 people) and Friday (short ~10 people.)

So… over the weekend please talk to those "extra" adults on your teams -- some of them might be delighted to have a job to do. See if any of them would be willing to volunteer on either Thursday or Friday.

If they are willing, send them to http://www.usfirst.org/volunteer/ and have them register for Crowd Control at the Championship. They will then be contacted by FIRST next week.

(Note: There is not a need for your team to short itself help in the pits, stands or field for this cause -- there should be plenty of folks whose current assignment is "spectator" that will be willing to chip in.)

I was wondering how I would get my wife and older kids out of my hair while we were in competition.... he he

I just signed them up.

My luck and the spouse will be the one keeping watch over the accesses to our field!!!
