Do you mean create another Chairman's award submission or do another interview?

Re: National Chairmans presentation

Only those who won the Chairmans Award at a regional competition need to worry about making another submission for Nationals. If you won at a regional competition, then you will have another interview, but you do not need to create another entry.

will the interview be like the one given at regionals? meaning separate room with 2 or 3 judges?

Yes. The process will run the same as it does for regionals. Good luck everyone.

Re: National Chairmans presentation

So there will probably be 2 or 3 judges at the Chairman's Award Presentation in Atlanta? Is it the same length and are there up to 3 people allowed into the presentation?

Re: National Chairmans presentation

yes. format is exactly the same...but possibly more judges who are not involved with the regular judging. last year...bart kamen (dean's little bro) was a chairman's judge but i don't think a normal judge.

Re: National Chairmans presentation

does anyone know if the interview will be set up the same? In svr, we had 10 minutes and they wanted it to be split about evenly but they didnt stop our presentation at exactly five minutes (I think we went about 30-45 seconds over.)

Also, will they have a/v equipment. I know at SVR we had to bring our own, but we cant exactly get a tv to nationals. We may buy one there if we need to.

Also, last year there were about 10 judges in the interview.

Re: National Chairmans presentation

I believe the rules say you have to bring in all of you rown A/V stuff.

Maybe you can locate an Atlanta team that would loan you a TV for a bit to save buying one.

Re: National Chairmans presentation

Well you could ask to borrow a TV or just transfer it onto a laptop. Miss Daisy had problems two years ago with the technology that the judges had. Their computers weren't fast enough to read our videos and we needed to run around to find a powerful computer. The lesson learned is DEFINITELY bring your own a/v stuff in.

Good luck to all teams competing for the Chairman's Award.

Miss Daisy is pumped up to be competing against such a strong crowd.
