Re: Best team #'s

I'm partial to 1110 because it doubles as a binary number (14)

I would also have to say 777, its just plain lucky.

Re: Best team #'s

Besides my own team number which has my lucky number (27) and The Intimidator's number in it as well (3) I would have to pick

18 - Not so much that it is the legal age for a few things, but that an Electric Car team I am/was on in College has that number.

27 - It's my lucky number, and I want a shirt from that team as well!!! Team RUSH I believe it is?

Team 44 - My favorite NASCAR Driver drove that for a while, with the coolest (die-cast) car company as a sponsor. - But unfortunately the team does not exist anymore - meaning no shirt trading.

Team HYPER's number - The obvious reason

As for High numbers, you have to love your own millenium team.
1237. They are (kind of) local to us. We competed with them at the NYC regional their rookie year.

edit: How can I forget a number... Well I did..

79 - Just cause that is the year I was born.

Re: Best team #'s

86 - My year of birth

Interesting story:
Back in '02 (Zone Zeal) we formed our first FIRST team, 927, Nova first. After the '02 season, we split into 2 homeschooling teams.
The First split team was given Team # 1123, (Aim Robotics; kudos, btw)
Our team, the 2nd one, was given Team # 1132 (RAPTAR Robotics)

Odd coincidence, eh?

Other than my own team number, 42 and 1000. I just think those would be cool FIRST team numbers.

Re: Best team #'s

I don't know where they're from or who they are, but Team 42 has my respect for the rest of my life? Why? Because 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything. Now, which team number is the question?

the funny thing about all of this is the number of us who knew why the number 42 is cool without it being explained.

Sadly, though, there are a number of us who didn't know what 42 meant before it was explained :-C

Re: Best team #'s

In our rookie year of 2001, we were given the number 911. I thought it'd be cool to have that since it's kind of... liek.... the emergency phone number and all. Maybe make a pun of it. But we decided otherwise and got a new number (783)... and good thing too, 'cause a year later, having 911 for our number would probably be a bad thing.
