Does anyone know the significance of the division names?

Yes I know they are all scientists. Though the questions is why did Dean Kamen pick these scientists. Was it random or do these people have some significance to him? My theory is a bit odd though and I am not going to say anything till I hear other opinions.

Well, no, but they are importnat to know, and also supports the idea of FIRST inspiring kids in science and technology. Plus, do you really want the JVN Division? I think not.

Re: Does anyone know the significance of the division names?

Ask Ron Partridge (sorry if i botched your name) about the Watt Field name... It was the first year he was an MC/Announcer, First year there was Watt field, only year there was Watt field and also the year the Whats up! jokes/commercials came out...He'll tell you the great stories of Watt field if you ever ask him...

Disclaimer: I will not be held responsable for Ron making more bad jokes about field names at any competitions...
