Go to Post I always felt people get too caught up in the robot and don't see what really makes the teams function so well is the organization itself. - Koko Ed [more]

PWM Values...

Does anyone know the values for pwms? i'm pretty sure full reverse isn't just 0. it's a small range, from like 0 - 10, but i don't know the exact numbers. if someone could tell me the exact numbers for full reverse, neutral, and full forward, i would be greatful. thanks in advance.

Full Reverse: 0
Neutral: 127
Full Forward: 254

Everything in between are variations of that.

oh
i was hoping there was a range for ful reverse/neutral/full forward. oh well, so much for that. on the other hand, i made a C++ calculator to find the correct values i needed, because the graphing calculator i found was annoying. shows how lazy i am. oh well, thanks, cause now i can go and impress my team even more.

I seem to remember hearing this (the range of values for full forward and reverse), although I don't remember if it is from an official source (Innovation First) or from somebody's measurments. However, even if it is true, I would not recommend writing your code in such a way that it depends on it.

well, my little C++ program included every number from 0 to 254, so i don't have t worry about that. although, i did it only with integers, so many of the numbers would up the same after i finished all the math. also joe, thanks for all the help, made everything a lot easier for me, plus will make me somewhat extremely valuble on the team now. make sure to drop by on thursday, to see the code in action (i hope)!
