I'm really starting to believe that orange tie-dye was a bad idea that year. It's bad when you can pick yourself out of the thumbnail because of the t-shirt.

BTW, Angela is Angela Hall whom some of you should know.

Thanks Sara!

Ok, I think someone need to be incharge of being the contact person. My experience is, everyone start to wander all over the place soon as we stop having access to the internet.

There need to be a gathering point, someone with all the phone numbers, etc, who can pull the group toward him/her. We should do that by setting up a meeting place Thursday evening, and give all our cell phone number to someone. I think that person can print out paper copies of this "roaster" with all our names, team number, cell phone numbers, and hotel names on it. Than we can keep in touch with each other with that roaster.

Any volunteers?

OK, let me try to organize this. If you are in for the college student gathering, please IM or PM me the following info:

Name, Cell phone number, Hotel you are staying in, team number, or if you are a volunteer whats your job and which field you are working in, will you have a car in Atlanta (and how much space including the driver).

My AIM screen name is LKen5412, or just PM me. Soon as I get everyone's info I will post a pdf of it so you can print it out for your own usage.

Re: College get together at Championship

grr,.. is it too late, i'm always looking for outings to attend now that i'm not strapped down by being a student. i'm sure my head advisors would feel better that i'm out w/a group rather than on my own though. Sorry i took so long to respond to this thread, but i'm sorta in a bumper year, you know, btwn HS & College, so i'm a little reluctant about college-specific posts... Anyway, if it's not too late, count me in!

Funny, I squeezed in Fantasy First last minute too...

Re: College get together at Championship

Alright all,

I am still struggling to find a place downtown that will allow me to get a reservation without a deposit. For now, let's all meet in the CNN center food court on Friday at 7:00 PM (sound like a good time?). I will continue looking for a place we can easily get to from there and let you all know. Sorry about the delay in getting this info out, it's not easy to find a place for a large group .

That's why Downtown Disney was nice in 2002.. We could just wander in and out of clubs as we pleased... :sigh:

That sounds ok :-). At the risk of sounding really sleepy, where is the CNN center food court?

I've attached the pdf to this post because I forgot to ask for e-mail address to send it to, I will remove this as soon as Championship Event is over.

Wouldn't it make more sense to meet at the arena and then travel as a group to wherever we're going? That's a place that everyone knows where it is and makes it much easier to find.

i agree with matt....meeting at like gate A of the arena would be a much easier place to get to because once i go back to my hotel it is a 6+ block walk to the arena and i have no idea where the cnn food court is....

Re: College get together at Championship

Probably should have put more explanation on this when I first posted it. First of all, the CNN food court is in the CNN Center (attached to the Omni) and right next to the dome, just to the right of the Phillips arena on the map found here.

The reason I wanted to meet there is because it's a cool place and it can be the backup plan to eat since there are tons of eating places there. It is also closer to most of the hotels. Does that make sense? Let me know what you all think.
