The only problem with the idea I can see is that Dean would be more likely to increase the size of the contestants over time as opposed to decreasing it (given how FIRST works and all). It'd be a lot harder to crown a winner in the end.
In all seriousness, it does sound like it could be a very viable idea for a show. Sort of a Junkyard Wars meets The Apprentice style show. Matt
