Robot Simulator Box

Hey all!
During this off season, some of my teams programmers, electricians and I are going to attempt to make a robot simulator box. What we're going to try to do is make a box with LED's and analog guages on it to display the outputs from an RC without a computer or a robot. If anyone has any idea how to do some of this, comments would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Robot Simulator Box

The relay outputs would no be that hard with two leds and resisters for each output for fwd and rev. The pwm outputs I do not know an easy way to do.

Re: Robot Simulator Box

You'd most likly just have a dashbourd to display the analog values. probably the leats painful way. That or buy a seperate prossecor to make the pwm signals into lcd display or what have you. Wish I could be more helpful!

Re: Robot Simulator Box

We were thinking about maybe using an edubot or BASIC stamp as part of it, or maybe even an old rc. Still thinking of ideas. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Re: Robot Simulator Box

This might work for your anolog outputs:

-Wire up your Victors like normal
-Get some lights; maybe a big flashlight bulb would work
-Wire the lights to the Victors instead of the motors

Not exactly a pretty LED gauge, but it'll give you a general idea of what's going on.
