Re: Wrap Up Party!

Overall, Epcot is still my favorite venue for the championships, but I liked the "things to do" aspect of this year's wrap party. I seem to be kind of a kid for someone my age, because I really had fun racing people on the obstacle courses, even though I got beat by a girl, and the climping wall thing was fun. Unlike Houston, the food at the party was decent, but 90 bucks seems kind of pricey for such an event.

Re: Wrap Up Party!

Did anyone else get hit with the sprinklers? We were playing mini-golf (which was fun even though it was on a hill) and got soaked.

We also thought the $90 covered food. That party was good, but not $90 good.

Also, dont they have triangle and square (and circle) fireworks? How could they miss this oppertunity?

Cool Re: Wrap Up Party!

My opinion was the party was a LOT of fun, but it REALLY needed to be longer, and have more of the popular items in it, b/c lines were horrendous. Also the lack of respect for property was slightly unnerving.

The fireworks were excellent, but I wish they had seriously choreographed it to music, not just play over it. Food was quite good for such an event.

I DID get soaked, courtesy of my friend pushing/dragging me in. Good times.

Oh, and WHY WASN'T THERE A DDR MACHINE AT THE PARTY????

The hypnotist definitely made the entire party worth it. I can't get over just how funny that was! I felt bad for the pregnant guys, though.

Re: Wrap Up Party!

I felt the team party this year was awsome. I enjoyed sitting around and talking with the seniors for the last time at a FIRST event. I also enjoyd walking around, and talking to people on other teams. The park was very nice and the weather counldn't have been any better. This was probably the best team party, at nationals any way, that I have ever been to.

The whole thing was a awsome success. I liked how close it was as well. I actually stayed the entire time, i dont think that i have ever stayed at the wrap party the entire time.

The wrap up party was great....I spent the time hanging out with some friends i get to see once a year (if that), some friends i met for the first time in person and some old friends....oh and to top things off, I put Big Mike in a headlock, and kept him on the ground...the best part is that he couldnt break it...

I found away to defeat the powerful big mike

That was us! That water was so cold! haha. But it was so worth it. I have always wanted to run through one of those fountains. It sure was pretty when night fell and it was lit up with the colored lights. My team and I posed for a bunch of tourists/natives...dont know which but whoever they were, they obviously thought we were crazy enough to be worthy of a picture. Either that or they thought we were just so good looking! hehe.

Re: Wrap Up Party!

The fountain was awesome. I ran around with a few friends from other teams and got completely soaked. My mother is just glad I wasn't wearing white. After I was dripping wet, I had a lot of fun hugging my friend from 360. Many many people who approached me ended up with water spots on their shirts from hugs. I'm still really happy about the entire trip.

Re: Wrap Up Party!

Ok, so I have just gotta put this up here. I have never seen so much food in my life. There was a little gathering over in the far area so I went over. And I was like, "Oh my gosh, you sure can tell that there are a lot of boys in this group!" I am still in a state of shock. Does anyone know if they have leftovers? I mean, I would think that they would have had to have...

But the rest of it was really cool. I mean, it was like a free carnival! I was amazed. Way to go FIRST, thanks for putting on such a great event!
