Re: APRIL FOOLS!

April Fools happened to fall during our Palmetto Regional. Well going into the lunch break we were the only undefeated team, and obviously in first place. My teacher was eating lunch in the USC cafeteria when we walking in with somber faces and said "Marc was testing out the arm, and the robot fell off of the cart (about a 3-4 foot drop to a concrete floor), and the robot smashed to pieces. The look on his face was priceless. We all start laughing and shout out "APRIL FOOLS!!!", now that i think about it, it was kinda mean, but it was REALLY funny.

Re: APRIL FOOLS!

We're constantly doing things to each other at work and I have some that will work for April Fools or any other time of the year.
We zip tied the sleeves (at the cuff) of a jacket while it was hanging up. When they went to put on the jacket thier arms got stuck (would go almost through the sleeve but not quite) and couldn't put the jacket on.
One I've personally done and works quite well is unplug something and wrap a thin piece of electrical tape on the prongs of the plug and plug it back in. I did this to a coworker's radio at work. They unplugged it, then plugged it back in (didn't look at prongs) and it still didn't work. Then unplugged it and carried it to another outlet all the while not paying attention to the plug and plugged it into that outlet. In the mean time a bunch of us were laughing while he kept trying different plugs and twisting the knobs on the radio. We finally told him when he was about to throw it away.

I did a search and found this thread.

Did April Fool's provide any moments of hilarity this year?

Well, there was that time when the inspector on Saturday morning came to me and said "I'm sorry, your team is disqualified from your matches this morning because you're having a bad hair day."

But other than that, I was kinda busy.

The berries look like mouse turds... we figured, like everyone else we've played this joke on, she would come out of the office and ask if we had a mouse problem... She didn't...
that could have been outstanding. If you had been there when she noticed them - pick one up, smell it, squeeze it between your fingers, then lick your finger and say "Field Mouse!"

One of the best 4/1 jokes Ive heard: an engineering friend of mine noticed a maintance guy outside cleaning the gutters on the building on the other side of the parking lot, on top of a tall ladder, with a boom box tuned to a local radio station on the ground by the ladder. The engineer put a small antenna on an RF signal generator and tuned it to the same frequency, with a 120HZ FM modulation. This made the boom box start howling.

The guy climbs down the ladder and picks up the radio, and the engineer turned the RF off, so the music came back on. He climbs the ladder again - RF goes on again - howling again - maintance guy climbs back down and just as he picks up the radio it stops.

Third time is the charm, right? Gets to the top of the ladder, radio starts howling again, he climbs back down, picks up the radio and throws it about 30 yards across the parking lot !

Since April Fools fell on a Saturday this year it was quite at work. I'm not aware of anything that happened.

Or a trip to the ER, especially if the quantities are off. (Don't screw around with medicine.)

And they're spelled laxatives and ipecac, respectively.
