*groan* I suspect I won't be sleeping either. My head's swimming with stories, wonderful memories, and plans for nationals.

We couldn't have done it without you, George. You are incredible.

(*note* the chairman's award judges' words were "spectacular" about our website - thanks to George - among his MANY talents and contributions)

Re: Who were the regional Chairman's award winners?

I'm curious about how many of this year's winners were also past winners- Some names that come to mind are : 16, 234, 236, 330, 341, are there any others to add so far?

Re: Who were the regional Chairman's award winners?

1108 won chairman's in Houston..
Being only a second year team we are all pretty excited.

I would put our submission online but I don't have it anymore...Long story. (I set-up a display for K-State Open House this weekend and had one copy of our chairman's award submission up in the front with some other FIRST materials. Apparently I laid it too close to the tri-fold brochures and someone now has pages of our submission)

On a side note using the edubot worked great for this thing. The little kids all loved to drive the robot. (Even though everybody thought it was a fighting bot...the university has a combat robot club that was running a small (antweight) competition acrossed from me.

1006 won at Canadian Regional... it was an amazing surprise, only being a 2nd year team. Congrats to all the other winners!

Re: Who were the regional Chairman's award winners?

I posted the final page of our submission.

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pa...le&paperid=320

It gives a good look as to the style and theme of our submission..black and gold..team/school colors, and a Dr. Seuss themed poem. Read earlier statement to see why only one page was posted at this time. I will post the rest of the chairman's award and information about a program we started this year at LSR and hope to continue at Nationals as soon as I can get the rest of the chairman's and more information about the program sent to me.

Re: Who were the regional Chairman's award winners?

I received a thoughtful letter today from Bob Hammond in response to a letter I had sent him. He addressed all my questions and included this re: my request to have FIRST post the winning regional entries.
"FIRST needs to make the submissions of the winning teams readily available so others can gain an understanding of their accomplishments. Some of our staff are taking time off this week recovering from the rigors of the season, but I will try to get these submissions on our website in the next few weeks."

I'm delighted and looking forward to learning all about what these 26 fantastic teams have done. Thanks to Bob Hammond for listening.
