Re: Female Shooters

team 93 in Galelio had a female shooter... the robot was a ball cather and collector... the bot and the human player worked out really nicely... she had her own rhyme and made almost every single ball that she shot... it was very nice to watch a human player like her...

"who says... guys are better than girls... they are always competiting with us.. and keeping up with us..."

Team #9 had a female human player as well, she was really good. She was even better than our male human player, at least i saw it that way.

I saw her at BAE and UTC as well. She was solid at both competitions. Definitely one of the best out there. Our human player wasn't too bad either (yea Carmelo!)

Re: Female Shooters

we had a crazy good female shooter who was something like 95% at nationals, and in our last match with two-seconds left, she pulled an almost-Jordan and hit a match-tying shot (Jordan won with his shot).

That was William Floyd HS, Team 287.
She was terrific. We only beat them by capping their stationary goal right away and dragging their mobile goal to our side of the field. She still made a shot diagonally across the whole field to their mobile goal!

Re: Female Shooters

In one of our qualifying matches for Nationals, our team was with Team #126, and that girl can shoot really well. We won the match because of her because both of our robots tipped over.

We rotated Human Players, between two students. One of them (and the better clutch shooter, IMO) was female.

Re: Female Shooters

Our human player, who is female, was THE reason we won the Pacific Northwest Regional. She made at least 90% of the shots. She will definately be our human player next year, if the game invlves shooting balls.

Re: Female Shooters

We had an awsome shooter who happens to be of the female persuasion, thanks Jamie!! It really got me upset when one of our alliance partners didn't trust her to shoot during our match and made her pass all her balls to them. They made half as many shots as she typically did!!!!

Re: Female Shooters

I gotta give my vote to our alliance partner at nats, team 177, she only missed a few. The only ones I saw her miss were when the pipes were swaying back-en-forth, and those times the ball almost went in but it just slipped through the pipes. So, shes got my vote for best female human player.
