Re: Next years Design for our chasis

Ok I took a look at the drawings and I'm confused. Your wheel is 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick? Any particular reason for that? and what's with the little holes?

I want to try for low profile wheels for next year. The green holes are Set screws, and in the chasis.dwg file the little yellow holes are the axles.
If any more questions let me know

Re: Next years Design for our chasis

Next year I want to build a spherical robot. Just because I'm crazy like that.

And my spherical robot will kick your robot's butt.

Re: Next years Design for our chasis

I tried to IM you but couldn't get a hold of you. A few things. Are you planning on keying the wheels? Because set screw won't hold it on there. Second is why do you want the wheels 3 inches wide? I can understand low profile, but they don't need to be that wide.

Anyway my hat is off to you for starting early.

The material is 80/20 that is one inch thick. I plan on either welding it or using the angle brackets.
