Go to Post FIRST is an amazing combination of principles that, when applied to the world, has had a monstrous effect on the way High School students learn, think, and relate to others. - Amanda M [more]

Unfortunately, in order to get insurance for the events, FIRST had to take such action. I remember in the 2003 rules, there was something where your team could get assessed a minor penalty for "dancing at the Team Social" Not sure what the rules are now, but it was a major liability issue, so I doubt it'll change much anytime soon.
There were people dancing and doing the limbo at the VCU regional during the competition - and nobody said anything. Theres really no stopping people when you play the cha-cha slide - the whole point of it is to dance.

Teams should be allowed to bring in their "team song" to play during the competition. At VCU they just played the same 3 or 4 mixed CDs over and over.
