Buttons

I have gone to two reginals and I have collected many, many buttons. At the SBLI Long Island Reginal I collected 40 differtent buttons and at the NYC Reginal I collected 27 different buttons. I was wondering if anyone else has collected that many or more! I will also try to get a picture of my collection if I can.

Well, thats about how many different button designs we have for our team this year 64 to be exact (not including the about 100 different one time button designs which involve magazine pictures and a permanent marker). And i have the entire set less the one timers whahahahhahaha ::insert evil laugh here:: if youre a button collector and up for the challenge... try to collect them all. p.s. we wont just give them all to you, somebody from team 5 tried to do that at GLR after 10 we stopped giving them to her.

Why do teams make more then one different button and then don't want to give one of each to a someone collecting buttons for their team (and themself )
It makes it hard to collect buttons for my team (and me )

Last year our team had two different buttons. We had the regular button everyone got and a "Special Edition" Button that was made in a small quantity. It was just for fun and it was good for people like Rob who like to collect lots of buttons.
This year however we only have one button :-)

Quite frankly, because we don't have the buttons to do that for everyone. Im the head of publicity for my team and looking at the figures buttons cost a lot. Something like 20 cents per button. We hand out all the different types of buttons, the point is to trade for the ones you dont have. Sorry we cant give you all the buttons we just dont have that many to give.

P.S. we are planning on a flat figure of 100 different buttons in mass production. Gotta Catch Them All Gotta Catch em All. (sorry for the pokemon reference.)

We have one button design, but we also give out earplugs. Who would have thought it, but these are really popular.

Our team should only have one design this year.

I remember last year at nationals, team 279 had a contest to see if you could collect their buttons to spell some word and you would get a prize, i thought that was a kewl idea

279's contest lives on

This year 279 continued with their tradition this year at GLR I cant remember what they were trying to spell, but i remember some girl coming to me asking for a button with an "A" on it. I figured out later it was for this.

is where you can find lots of diffferent geek buttons. My favorite one is the one that says "You know you're an engineer if you have no life & can prove it mathematically." An other great on is "C:\WINDOWS
C:\WINDOWS\GO C:\PC\CRAWL" I would love to be able to give out some buttons from there at a competition. but they cost $4 each and I do not really have the time to make them myself. Ow, well.

Team 86 will indeed only have one button design, that is of course if any get made. I haven't heard anything about anyone making them or about us having the stuff to make them... Maybe that's a topic that needs to be disscussed on Sunday...

Team 108 will be giving out 1 normal button( with peppy from samurai pizza cats on it) , 3 different blinking motorola phone buttons, and 2 special edition buttons of the other two pizza cats. So that makes 6 buttons in all but you will have to work to get people to give up the special editions.
