I don't know how likely it is for 1114 to make it down to IRI, but it's still up for discussion. If I do come down on my own, I'll jump at the chance to toss on a Team 48 shirt. I just hope you don't pull this offer away once you hear me sing...

Re: Announcement: The 2004 IRI Talent Show!

I would like to be in the talent show, but nobody lives near me... So I would like to see if anybody would like to be a part of the talent show with me. I have a few leads so far but I would like to see if anybody else would like to do some stuff with me.

Come on you random College FIRSTers lets get a show going!!!

Re: Announcement: The 2004 IRI Talent Show!

Um, you guys might want to check this out... David and I got an anonymous email this morning...

________________
David Kelly and Amanda Morrison,

We have heard about your "IRI talent show". We are a 5-person rock band who are masters at creating loud resonance frequencies with our instruments. Coming out of New Hampshire, we would like to show you midwesterners how to rock. All 5 of us were on FIRST teams at one point, but we all were rejected in last year's volunteer screening process. Being FIRST outcasts, we turned to rock and roll. Four of us are long-lost relatives of Dean Kamen and you might recognize our bassist, who was with the band "Slobber" in the 80's.

Our members are:

Dean Simmons (bass)
Ozzy Kamen (vocals)
Slash Kamen (guitar)
Eddie Van Kamen (guitar)
Lars Kamen (drums)

We hope you let us play, as we just got a new (to us) '79 Chevy Van to make the trip from Manchester to Indianapolis. We are starting to wear out our welcome in the venues in this area and we are looking for some new fans. Well, we just need any fans we can find.

Is there a campground nearby? Are there any Krispy Kreme's in Indianapolis? Can we use the showers at the event?

Please let us play, we want to give back to FIRST, although we can't be on teams any more.

Sincerely,
Dean Simmons and the Kamens
