Fill in the blank

OK, here are the rules. I will start this with a sentence with a key word left blank. Each person has to continue the story by copying the sentence with the blank in it, and putting it at the beginning of their post with the blank filled in. Then they have to continue the story by making a sentence of their own with a blank, and including it in their post.
here is the first sentence:

I was checking the robot when i found out the _________ was missing!
