FIRST Robotics Night 2004

I would like to thank all teams that showed up at the Patriots Stadium for the Robotics night event. Tons of people showed interest at the things that we all did. Hopefully this will become an annual event.

Re: FIRST Robotics Night 2004

Our pleasure. It was fun having the little kids drive the robot arm. A lot took fliers to come to the October 30th replay games at North Brunswick and we talked to a few engineers who want info for their own towns to start teams.

And the home team won too!!

Re: FIRST Robotics Night 2004

Hey Elgin! We have a minor league baseball stadium about 5 minutes from our high school and I figured a lot of people attend a game on any given night. I went to the Patriots and asked them if we could have a FIRST Robotics Night during one of the games and he said yes! This was a night where teams from the area could come, bring their robot and other FIRST/team paraphenalia (sp?) and just do demonstrations for fans and explain what FIRST is all about. It turned out pretty well. Five teams attended and each had their own table to display their stuff and their robot. Some teams let kids work the arm. It was a really good time. If you need any more info, let me know.

Thanks again to all the teams that participated. I had a great time and hopefully it can grow every year! If you have any comments or suggestions as to how it can be improved for next year, please let me know.
