East Coast Drivers Union

Aignam, just brought a pretty good idea to me. We could possibly go out and get a corporate sponsorship for the union, and at the end of the year, the "best" driver is voted upon by the union, or a certain part. then a scholarship, from the corp sponsor, is given to the highest vote getter. or we could do some long equation to find out who the best one was over the year, depending on the game.

Better yet an outside panel. Keeping the voting within the ECDU raises all sorts of eyebrows.

Vote on the panel---obviously, if the company donating the money wanted to have a representative, they would be encouraged and more than welcomed. Otherwise, neutral FIRST Volunteers, experienced mentors, etc, etc. These people are wiser and less prone to play favorites, in most cases.

There are some teams still out there that have not put there drivers in this union. This union should be a great thing for the freshman out there that want to driver or that are new at the stick like myself. by new driver i mean have only drove in one or two comps. hopefully we can learn a thing or two from the good drivers of FIRST.
