Re: East Coast Drivers Union

This kind of networking is a great way to improve the whole program.

We have recently formed FIRST NEMO (Non-Engineering Mentor Organization) to support adult and college mentors who help teams with the "soft side" of FIRST teams - to share ideas about fundraising, team management and organization, travel, spirit, food, etc. If any of your mentors are interested in joining FIRST NEMO, please have them register on Chief Delphi then PM RoboMom007 (Jennie from Team 007), KathieK (Kathie from Team 173), or Redhead Jokes (Cheryl from Team 294) for more information.

Re: East Coast Drivers Union

I think this is all a great idea... unfortunately I'm not a driver, our past drivers aren't ever on this site, and we don't know quite exactly who the definite drivers for coming season will be. Hopefully, a driver from 103 will get back to you about this (if I ever get in contact with them over the summer!).

Re: East Coast Drivers Union

hey to all the drivers out there. why have you not signed up? you can't get on the computer that much. you don't have a chief delphi screen name(getting one of these is not hard at all just signup and join the fun of FIRST). if you have no AIM but an email then just email me at My email address. i will talk to the other leaders and get chains of email out to you that have email but don't have aim. so join today and find new people at there you might have friends from different teams from different states. SO JOIN TODAY AND HAVE A TONS OF FUN.

As team 263's 2004 operator, and 2005 driver i think this is a great idea. Not only just for meeting new people but also making First a little more interesting as it would be cool to be friends with the people your competing against of the floor.

So being that im always up for meeting new people in first, Im in.

Re: East Coast Drivers Union

This sounds like it could be a promising opportunity for drivers to interact and get to know eachother better. I was team 365's operator from 2003, and the driver from 2004. Looking back, I wish I knew more of the competition teams that I was partnered with and played against. If this was started a few years back that might have been helpful Good Idea guys.

I'm seeing a pattern in the teams I've been a part of... Gotta love the green
