Re: FIRST Impacting Job Choices
I can definetly say FIRST has had an impact on career/major choices for me. Up until the end of sophomore year of high school, I was very certain I wanted to be a mechanical engineer or a biomedical engineer.
FIRST has helped me realize I lack mechanical aptitude, so being a mechanical engineer is pointless for me. However, I did realize I love coming up with structural designs, yet sticking to the principles of engineering. So, I made my decision to be a civil engineer, and I'm pretty happy with what I've seen so far in research about the career. - Jill
