That is rediculous.
Why the heck didn't they just setup the new servers first, before taking the old ones offline?!? There's a Dilbert (I really like Dilbert...) that says something about this. The jist of it is that Dogbert proposes a plan for moving to new servers which involves shutting down the old ones first. Dilbert protests about that saying that the economic effects could be disasterous if the new system doesn't work. Dogbert's reply is, "I still get paid the same." Sorry, little OT there...  |
