GNU GRUB Question
Ok, I have successfully (sp?) reformatted, and reinstalled Windows 98 Second Edition (
). Now, my problem arises again. When I powerup the computer, I still seem to get the GRUB bootloader. Does anyone know howto get rid of this? I've read here to run FDISK /MBR from Windows to boot WindowsQuote:

That's exactly how you get rid of it.

Re: GNU GRUB Question
"fdisk /mbr" will obliterate grub. The "fdisk /mbr" overwrites the current bootsector with a default MS-DOS (or Windows 9x) one. Grub cannot survive it; nor can a bootsector virus. You are not really uninstalling grub, rather replacing it.

Re: GNU GRUB Question
Should I boot into safe mode command prompt, or the regular command prompt?

I would like the send a big thank you out to Venkatesh and Joe Ross for helping me. I have now got Windows 98 to boot without fear.
