Re: UFH: Christopher Fultz

What can I say about Mr. Fultz... Chris is a guy who is full of air, in more than one way... My first memory of Chris is from after the kickoff for the 2002 season. He had this idea to suck the balls up with a vaccume and turbine engine (as he works at Rolls-Royce). He wouldn't ever give up on this crazy idea. He had a passion to get his idea across and even made some prototypes and spent much of his time at work trying to get his idea to work. In the end, we ended up not using his idea (what a surprise ).

Chris joined the team (234) the year after our most successful year in FIRST. Chris was able to turn a team that was headed by basically 2 teachers and a few engineers into a corporation. Team 234 now uses many of the same exact company procedures that Rolls-Royce does.

Because of Chris, I now work at Rolls-Royce Corporation. He got me my first job there as a data-entry wizzard for over a year. I then ended that job and was out of work for nearly 2 months until he called me up last August asking if I wanted a job to create a event tracking system for one of the helicopter programs. I was kind-of hesitant to take the job because I have never created a database in my life. I then took the job and I have not regretted it since. I was/ am the lead consultant/ administrator of an extensive web based event tracking database system. I have had the opportunity to work with some awesome people and have learned a lot about how real corporate life is, both bad and good. I have a secure job at Rolls-Royce that will last for quite a while as I also attend college, full-time, studying Informatics and New Media.

I have learned a lot from Chris and I believe I am on a path to future success. Chris, I thank you for all the opportunities you have given me and I know that we will continue to work together in the future.

Chris Fultz, I salute you.
