[ECDU]: Awards

So far we have come up with these award options.

Chairmans/Woody Flowers-an outstanding driver/coach/manip/or team that shows GP and does the best at his/her job. And helps spread the ideals of ECDU-for the woody flowers part-we could name it after an amazing driver.

Best drive team-self explan
best HP-just depends on what they have to do
best coach-strategy wise
best primary driver-trying not to base it on robot abilities.
repairs-for the team that always breaks-but comes back every round in one peace.

yet again the sponsor thing comes into play-some awards will just be that-like a plaque or object. Woody Flowers/Chairmans will involve scholarship money, since its individual.

Ok i made a more specific list for the awards.

Woody Flowers(name to be changed)-Goes to the individual who does most to improve the team, the first community, and their own community.

Chairmans-Team that does the same as Woody Flowers. However, the team should be successful.

These will be announced during the awards ceremonies after finals.

and then theres the awards for After Qualy's

Best Driver-Manipulator-HP-Coach-all to be determined by a panel.

Driver-does not have to mean they have a good bot, just that they handle situations well.
Manip-Just best at the specialty of there bot.
HP-Whatever that is-they are the best at it.
Coach-able to make great prematch strategies, and be able to follow them on the field, but also changing on the fly.

We could just combine them into a best team award though.

Then theres the specialty awards of best defensive round, offensive round, play of the day and best overall match.
d-would be lowest opp score-without penalties
o-would be highest score
play of the day-single play that was amazing
match-just a match that should be seen by all due to excitement.

so how would we go about doing this?! so i'm going to put in how i think it should be done (even though it might have already been stated)

At Each Regional, during Friday night's thing (OMG! i forgot what it was called!!!) everyone who is within the ECDU meets up at a determined place and sits down and talks. They bring up diffrent idea's, and thier own opinons, and have essintally a final vote. From there, we give an award (wiether its a piece of papper in a frame, or some type of medal (i like the papper idea because it can be done on the spot, and be personalized for the team that wins it (or persons name) and also show the yera, and event, etc.)) to each person/team that derserves the award on saturday either during the last qualifying matches or during lunch (unless you have to do strategy or what not) where the members of the EDCU that are there gather and congratulate the winner together, and it should be able to be won by a member or non member.

As for nats, we would do it by division =D

Well, the vote may not be determined by us. We could have our sponsor wanting to do it. If not, we probably will have to pick an impartial group to do so. But ya-the paper is a good idea-but we can have medals to go with.

I didnt think so-thats y i was saying we should do it after Qualys or Finals.

And for nats-ya i like the idea of Division wise-but i also think we have to do it as one final thing too.
