You document volunteer hours and depending on level, you get a certificate for the individual or the team. I decided to get one certificate for the team (instead of individual ones), but then ordered pins for the mentors.
It's a small gesture of thanks.
If your team does not keep rough track of mentor volunteer hours now, start doing it. These numbers will come in handy for all sorts of things.
