FIRST: America's Funniest Home videos
Has something really funny ever happened to your team/robot during a match that got on videotape?? i.e. robot went haywire and crashed into the ref?? (btw I've seen this happen...must have been radio interference) If so, wouldn't it be a good way to give FIRST publicity on national television by sending in your funny robot video to AFHV?? It would have to be funny enough to appeal to a general audience who may not understand the subtleties of robot antics...but it may be worth a shot. Plus it could be a good fundraiser for your team if you ended up winning any money. Feel free to share your thoughts on this (as well as sharing some of your humerous experiences)...

Re: FIRST: America's Funniest Home videos
Ooooooooooooooo, I've got a hilarious video of the "ankle biter" going after Amanda Morrison on my computer at home. I'm going to have to find it and put it online when I get home from 'work'!!

Wasn't Ankle Biter a battlebot?
Either way, that is a funny movie. |

If only they had a camera and they could actually have sent that in...oy. The humility for me..but hey, it'd still be fun publicity for FIRST. =) --Dori |

Re: FIRST: America's Funniest Home videos
well I don't have video of something funny happening, but I do have video of two things combined are kinda funny. When we were building the robot we were joking about the robot falling from the bar and how our set up made it literally impossible. Apparently it turned out it wasn't impossible, a little editing made a bad event kinda funny

Re: FIRST: America's Funniest Home videos
actually, I just remembered a funny experience that happened to us at IRI. I wasn't able to actually see this, but I heard that in one of our last matches, we flipped over and were driving back and forth on our back wheels...apparently it was pretty funny to watch...I wish I had been able to go to IRI!!! I am not sure if we got this on tape though...maybe someone from 571 did??

Re: FIRST: America's Funniest Home videos
sorry, we only had 3 people there. didn't exactly have an extra set of hands. all i know was that the robot flipped over on the other side of the field, and by the time we came over to flip you back up you were right in front of our ball chute.

It's actually a compilation of several disjointed segments of video, but it start with the bloopers. |
