Hey everyone or driver have a way of staying hydrated during the heat of competition? i know it does not seem like it matter but i just want the driver to stay in top shape.

does anyone have water in there pit or a water bottle on them during the comp i just want to know how you drivers stay hydrated cause i care.

At battlecry they had free soda, which was great. Otherwise I just find a water fountain or something when I'm thirsty...nothing special

We keep a case of cold water in our pits at all times. Open to all team members and mentors. But for the most part the drivers get a break after the robot is taken back to the pits and the drivers tell the pit crew what they broke or need changed on the robot. But if someone has pit duty and they are thirsty a student or a mentor will get them what they need.

I guess I was quite lucky.. within just a few minutes my dad would have a cold Dasani in my hand whether I was in the pit, in que, or in the shop - he was always on 'water duty' for me.

now i have a camelback that i am going to use to hold water. but in nationals i used a liter water bottle that weight me down. so i got the camelback for the comps plus it is a backpack.
