I'm a professional web developer. I'm good with PHP, Perl, Java/JSP, some RoR, XML, Javascript (AJAX as well), (x)HTML, CSS, etc.. Validated code is good; fully cross-browser code is better (you comply to your users and the software they use, not the other way around. Sorry!)

I got 2.3 then 3.3 then 3.1 on Comcast cable in MA through a Linksys Router and some old Toshiba modem I got back when MediaOne still provided cable for Western MA (AKA: about 5-6 years ago). Not too bad. Faster then T1 apparently. T1 is useless anyway. T3 Corporate or optical cable!
