RiverRage Video (Team 190 vs Team 237)

Things were looking grave for T190 until this vault landed perfect 10's from the judges! .... If you weren't at RR8 to see it, here's the 190 slam dunk with the assist frrom 237. It's still insane now matter how many time you see it. Watch for yourself

for those of us that can't download the video ( or our feed to too slow to download it now) is some one willing to give us all a play by play?

Both Team's 190 and us (237) are fantastic hangers in my opinion.

In this match, 190 gets on the bottom platform in autonomous, while we wait till human controlled time to get on the bottom platform.

190 then reaches their claw in the air to grab the bar as 237 climbs the top platform and instead of reaching our claw up to hang, 237 heads straight for 190 to push them away.

237 ends up underneath 190, somehow enabling 190 to climb 237 and in doing so, grab the bar, and hang as 237 falls to the floor, while 190 hangs and swings on the bar.

It's weird to explain, but from where I was in 237's player station, it looked as though we catapulted 190 onto the bar to hang.

If you have a slow connection, right click and save target as.
It's definitely worth the wait. (only a mere 4.62mb for a sight beyond words)
Even though it was a match where points were scored against us, it was definitely a cool match no doubt.
(But then again, I am biased.. )

Re: RiverRage Video (Team 190 vs Team 237)

237 pushed 190 into the goal, which tipped 190 backwards, into the goal. 190 didn't fall though, because of the goal, but being tipped backwards, 237 snuck in under 190. After sneaking in under 190, 237 somehow tipped backwards themselves (Elgin, maybe you can help more on how that happened?), and due to some strange occurence, 190's probe (single hook to pull the robot up with) was extended, and happened to snag the bar as 237 "catapulted" 190 up into the air. Luckily, no extreme damage was done to either bot in that exchange, as both were back up and running perfectly fine in their next matches.

I was sitting on the other side of the field (that big mass of maroon), and from what I saw, it definitely looked like 190 got air off of that move, but I guess not. In any case, it definitely takes the cake for the most amazing thing I've seen in my three years of FIRST.

WHOA! That was completely awesome! :-O Whoa...
I'm in total shock...what're the odds of that happening again!? Goodness I thought that smaller robot would throw 190 off the platform!
*shocked* wow...I've seen it all...

Re: RiverRage Video (Team 190 vs Team 237)

Wow... and I thought 175 capping at the last second against 190's impressive defensive arm in Atlanta was the play of the year. This is so much cooler. Absolutely incredible.

I am highly amazed ...I have no clue how 190's arm was just perfect to latch on to the bar. I am AMAZED!

If I were to forget everything but one thing at River Rage... I would want to keep that image forever. It was INCREDIBLE! I never thought I'd see gymnastics like that outside the Olympics.

I was in the pit helping fix our robot before our match after that... I wish I got to see it live... I heard the crowd going wild so I started to walk over and next thing I know I saw 190 hanging and another team driving on top of 237's shovel on the arm... It was craaazy...

Talking Re: RiverRage Video (Team 190 vs Team 237)

That match was amazing. All I saw was 190 on top of 237. 237 falling over, and 190 gracefully latching on to the bar. That definetly wins as my favorite match of all times.

Hope everyone had a lot of fun at River Rage!
