I have to agree with 9/10th's of what you said (all except the scratched CD part, since I don't really play CD's on this computer anyways).

The videos are in greater quality, and now it ain't half-color & half-black&white. It's also great being able to hear "American Idiot" & seeing it in great quality *cheap plug for the fun of it*

The audio is also a lot crisper IMO also.

I've never used WMP to burn CD's, but it's also been great for ripping CD's. It's even fast on my ol' Intel Celeron 500 MHz; 64 MB RAM computer in my room.
