But you have to keep in mind that the game was made back in the early-to-late 90's. The times when CD's were very unstable really, since they were just recently released to the mass public.

Now that CD's are very stable, like Mike Martus said, it's illegal even to make "backup" copies.

To solve this whole thing, just go buy it at any Circuit City store or wherever else. I got the expansion set (AoE 2 & The Conquerors Expansion) for $20. That's not bad at all, and it was new.

For all the law-people like me, the expos-facto (sp?) loophole won't work either, since you are doing this now, and not back in the 90's (I'm stating this for the chance you get introuble for doing this by the government. Don't ask me how or anything, just thinking of this possibility).

** Edit: Why not support the makers & publishers of the game anyway? I mean, it took a lot of their time to make this game, so why not give them something in return **
