Mt. St. Helens may errupt.

Volcanoe go boom
As if we didn't need another natural disaster.

Re: Mt. St. Helens may errupt.

There is nothing near that mountain for a hundred miles in every direction.

Mt. Rainier, however, is plainly visible from where I live. If that volcano erupted, it'd be bad news.

Nah not really. At this point with our current knowledge of volcanoes you would be long gone before it errupted. Now with earthquakes I learned that at most there could be a ten second warning before one occurs.

Just because she would be long gone doesn't mean it wouldn't be bad news. Scientist found evidence of a past eruption at the bottom of Lake Washington (downtown Seattle, for those who don't know) that they believe was from a past eruption of Mt. Rainier. Basically, if Raineer erupted, it is possible that all of Seattle will be wiped out. Even if no one dies that would have to be the worst natural disaster of all time considering that a whole city would be leveled.

Nah.... The worst disaster would be loaming underneath Yellowstone national park. If that thing blows that would be a major problem for the whole entire earth.

Just to lighten the mood a little: Can someone tell me why there is a link to "Unique Gift Ideas" on that page?

Re: Mt. St. Helens may errupt.

there are a few hundred volcanoes that could cause doom for mankind... many are in the sea though

yellowstone park was thought t be a volcano for a long time... and no ne could work ut where it was , only when someone took a view from along way away coould they tell the whole park was the volcano.
