Re: FIRST ROBOTICS 2004 - Discovery Channel

I've got it saved on my satellite's hard drive, but the problem is that i'm not sure how i'd get it off the hard drive and to the internet. If somebody would be able to PM me on how to do this i might be able to get it to you, but at this time the furthest it looks like it's going to get is to VHS.

VHS here too. I'll see what I can do.

Also, I think DCAFan was on the show, not sure though.

I missed it yesterday because I had to watch "Hope & Faith" on ABC at the same time for a project in class. I'll probably record it on Thursday and show it at the next team meeting as an introduction to prospective and new members.

for people with tivo machines...the hard drives are regular IDE and you can just take them out and connect them to your comp then drag and drop....i already made arangements to get a copy but for other people that might work

They showed 237 blocking out 1002 and stopping them from winning a crucial match.

Cool.. Very nice. Thanks for the update Ed, now I definately have to watch this.

Btw, I know someone uploaded the Discovery Special last year for DL, can someone do that again this year? Even if it for only a week or so if bandwidth is a concern. I have last years, and would like this year's too..

Thanks Much!

Would anyone mind hosting it (even temporarily) on a not BitTorrent source? Many people on university networks are blocked from accessing BitTorrent.

Do you have a DishNetwork PVR or a DirecTivo? If so, if you remove the hard drive and plug it into your computer, you can access the recordings. To convert them to a standard format, you will need an additional piece of software.

If it is a DishNetwork PVR, sign up for the DishRip Yahoo group and read through the files section. There are several pieces of software that can convert video from the DishPVR format to MPEG2

If it is a DirecTivo, download DVRchive, which will convert from TiVo format to MPEG2.

Re: FIRST ROBOTICS 2004 - Discovery Channel

I'm considering converting it to mpg or mov, but it depends on time. I'm still thinking about it and depends on my homework load. Now I just need to find a host. Anyone up to it just send me a PM.

I have it on TIVO and need to buy blank videos to play it at robotics, then I have the capability to put it to cd and on web, but need husband's help to do that and his time to help is rare.

I can however easily host it if someone sends me an mpg.
